Natural Hazards

Hazards are a part of the natural environment but when disasters happen, their occurrence impacts on us more deeply than other, similar events. Whilst they are natural this doesn’t mean that we just sit back and accept them: there’s a great deal that can be done.

Many nations, including Australia, have policies and procedures for alerting people about hazards and how they can be coped with. Much of this information deals with preparation and the correct responses in case of an emergency.
