When you quote, summarise, paraphrase or refer to someone else's work, you must credit that person. You do this using an in-text citation (which then has a corresponding entry in the Reference List).
APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication written within brackets, for example: (Field, 2005). For direct quotations include the page number as well, for example: (Field, 2005, p. 14).
How to write an in-text citation when you paraphrase someone else's work (put the information into your own words):
Heavy social media use can be linked to depression and other mental disorders in teens (Asmelash, 2019).

Your Reference List should be located on a separate page at the end of your assignment titled: References (centre alignment, in bold)
It should include the full details of all your in-text references, arranged alphabetically A-Z by author surname.
